Strength & Cardio
Our bodies are made to move. Moving around increases blood flow to our muscles, strengthens the heart and lungs, and teaches the heart to work more efficiently. FAC offers a wide variety of cardio and muscle strengthening classes, including the popular Les Mills formats. Take a class and leave more energized, confident and proud.
Join the fun and the calorie-burning workout of a Cycle Class. This cardiovascular workout is on a stationary bike, on which the tension can be increased and decreased based on the rider’s preference. The amount of resistance you apply, as you gain strength and endurance, is up to you. With the music playing and the instructor leading the way, it is amazing how you can feed off the energy of the other riders. The Spin Classes we currently offer are described below. All group exercise classes are included in your membership.
These classes are offered in the swimming pool and great for a full body workout without all of the impact that traditional group fitness classes have on your joints. We use water weights and noodles for resistance exercises in the pool.
Seniors will learn safe and fun exercises that will help you to improve your quality of life. It’s never too late to improve your strength and mobility, we’ll prove it to you.
YAH – Young at Heart
Young at Heart is our functional training class for our members over the age of 60. Seniors will learn safe and fun exercises that will help you to improve your quality of life. YAH classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 AM and are taught by Olympian Rueben Reina.
